This night we (Tipsy, El magico, Thor and myself) went out and tried to disect a plague beast lord.. yes you read correctly.. we wanted to cut out its brains or something so we could get the core of it.. an item used in a quest related to ants. so after about 30 attempts on lured and frozen plagues beast lords, we finally got the item. only took us about 2 and a half hour to do so.. but in the end we got it. its shown on screenshot in trade window.

Well done on getting the core, but some say it is not worth the effort, after two and a half hours do you think it was worth it. Having never tried to do this myself i would be interested to know your views and any tips that you might have on this task.

well the reason it took so long is that we thought all 5 of the "brains" had to be cut away to remove the core and when doing the 4th they died.. turns ?ut only 3 is needed to be "fixed" to remove the core, for a guide to this (however incomplete and blury) go here

and no i dont think its worth the effort.. its used in a quest to "purify" the water related to ants, which seemingly have no reward worth the time.. but at least we did it.. and can say we have done it, even though it did take 2? hours
